How It Works
When a ticket is created or viewed, the BambooHR app instantly retrieves the requester’s details using their email address. This real-time sync provides immediate visibility without manual effort, while ensuring no data is stored in Zendesk.

Supercharge your Zendesk experience with faster, more efficient employee support.
How to Install
- Visit the BambooHR app page in the Zendesk Marketplace.
- Click Install.
- Select the Zendesk account where you want to install the app, then click Install.
- On the app settings screen, enter your BambooHR subdomain in both the
bamboohrCompanyDomain
andOAuth Authentication
fields. For example, if your BambooHR URL isyourcompany.bamboohr.com
, enter onlyyourcompany
. - Click Sign in with BambooHR. You’ll be redirected to BambooHR to securely authenticate and authorize Zendesk to access your account via OAuth. Review the requested access scopes, then click Allow Access.
- After authorization, you’ll return to the app settings screen in Zendesk. Click Install to complete the setup.
🎉 That’s it! The BambooHR app is now active, and employee details will automatically appear in the ticket sidebar for new and existing Zendesk tickets. Don't forget to pin the app to the sidebar for quick and easy access!
