Payment Terms; Automatic Renewal

These Terms of Service FAQs are for informational purposes only—they are not contractual or binding in nature. These FAQs should not be seen as a substitute for reading and understanding BambooHR’s Terms of Service. Please see section 17.9 of the Terms of Service for additional information.

What if I don’t want my subscription to automatically renew? (5.1)

Given that there is no fixed contractual term to the service, the service is a monthly subscription. Therefore, to avoid any interruptions in your service, your subscription is set to auto-renew each month, but you are able to cancel at any time.

What happens with my annual prepayment if I cancel part way through the prepayment? (5.2)

BambooHR will refund any prepaid, unused months. There are no refunds or credits for partial months of service. If you received a discount for making an annual prepayment and you cancel part way through that prepayment, you will no longer qualify to receive that prepayment discount, and you will be charged the difference between the monthly and prepayment discount pricing for the months your subscription was active during the prepayment period. For example, if you prepay for 12 months from January to December and received a monthly discount for that prepayment but cancel in August such that you don’t use the service for the full prepayment period, you would be charged the difference between the monthly discount price and the normal monthly price for the months of January to August when you used the service. Do your fees include any applicable taxes for your services? (5.3)

The ultimate responsibility for ensuring all applicable taxes and duties are remitted to relevant authorities rests with the customer. BambooHR would include itemized invoice line(s) for taxes when the Company concludes it has a responsibility to collect and remit taxes on the customer's behalf.

Can BambooHR change my pricing? (5.4)

BambooHR reserves the right to adjust pricing with 60 days notice. If you do not agree with a price adjustment, you have the ability to cancel at any time. Given the month-to-month nature of our service you may do so without penalty. Price adjustments in month-to-month services are not uncommon for such a subscription model (e.g., streaming services). Am I able to lock in my pricing for a set amount of time? (5.4)

BambooHR does not offer any price guarantee. Generally, you are able to prepay your bill, in which case you may qualify for a discount, but we still reserve the right to adjust pricing as a month-to-month service.
