Holiday Pay in the Mobile App
We are excited to announce updates to the mobile app experience that enhance the display of holiday pay hours and rates.
These changes are part of our ongoing efforts to support multiple pay rate initiatives, including project pay, shift differentials, and holiday pay. The updates ensure that hours are accurately represented in the time reporting experience, aligning with Payroll and reporting requirements.
Key Updates:
- Timesheet Hours Summary:
The Day Detail and Pay Period views now reflect holiday changes in the hours worked summary.
- Inbox Timesheet Approvals:
Timesheet approvals now include the same breakout and order as the Timesheet Hours Summary.
- Upcoming Time Off Section on the Time Off Tab:
Holidays will be displayed for employees if the assigned holiday has no holiday pay selections, has designated holiday hours or has a pay rate, and the employee is on a salary or commission pay type.
- Time Off Requests:
Holidays are assumed to be PTO, with default hours set to 0, unless the assigned holiday has no holiday pay selections, has designated holiday hours, has a pay rate or the employee is on a salary or commission pay type or if multiple holidays are assigned on the same date, hour adjustments are based on the first holiday created.
- Holidays on Home Screen:
A new widget displays company holidays, allowing employees to view all holidays for the year. Up to three holidays are shown on the home screen, and tapping on Holidays opens a detailed view for the current and next year.
These updates provide a more comprehensive and accurate representation of holiday pay, ensuring employees and managers have the information they need for effective planning and reporting.
