We all have read the headlines of “Blow up HR”, “We hate HR”, “Inhuman Resources” and have heard business leaders complain about HR. Enough. The gap between the negative perception of HR and the truth and reality of our amazing profession feels daunting at times, but I completely believe it can be overcome. The mission is to see HR become what it’s truly meant to be in every company and in every industry – a bunch of HR Warriors making an impact on their organization, while developing their careers. All HR professionals have the potential to become Warriors.
Becoming an HR Warrior is based on the book The Way of the HR Warrior, and this presentation provides the participant with a definition of an HR Warrior, an overview of the CHARGE™ model and exercises to identify the personal gaps to becoming an HR Warrior.
The HR Warrior is a professional who can be counted on to get the job done right, to exceed expectations, to inspire others, and to set the expectations that increase the work output of everyone around them. HR Warriors care about what they do. They see their work as an opportunity to have a positive impact on the business every day. The CHARGE model is based on fundamental qualities for a successful HR professional: Courage, Humility, Accuracy, Resilience, Goal-oriented, Exemplary. This presentation was created with the HR professional in mind, regardless of industry or tenure, and is for those willing to examine their own competence and drive their careers and organizations forward.
